I adore those who have integrity instead of brutal, in their honesty. They have mastered making the hardest things to say, a little easier to hear.
I appreciate the ones who share their honest view, they say ‘nah’ and ‘here’s the tea’ instead of sugar coating you down the wrong path. They don’t let you think you’re in the right, when they can shine a light on where they see a wrong. If you have something in your teeth you know damn well they would rather feel the awkwardness of having to tell you in that moment, than let you figure it out hours down the road when you finally see a mirror. They’re the type of honest that sometimes has you thinking ‘well damn’. Because they make you look at things from outside of your own justification. And later when it sinks in, you’re glad for their ability to take some sting out of the bitter truth. Because they have integrity in their honesty, instead of brutal. They have mastered making the hardest things to say, a little easier to hear.
